Thrifty London Living

Happy February to you all, I hope it brings you good things. We decided to have a weekend of doing so on Saturday we went into our local area of Hammersmith and bought some essentials but whilst down the high street I popped into a few charity shops on a whim. I only needed one: British Heart Foundation, they always seem to have good things in whichever city you're in. I also like the one on Sale, Manchester near my work. Cath Kidston Travel Sewing Kit

Sewing Kit Tour   A hard case covered in the heart rose oil cloth material, perfect for traveling as it's pretty and you can pop it right in your handbag. It has a press stud clip for the opening which is nice and sturdy. Inside, a thing of polka dot beauty. Safety pins, needles, embroidery scissors, a thimble, a stitch picker (Natterer), a thread plait and a tape measure. I love this thread plait, keeps the cottons nice and neat. There is plenty of space for tucking a few extras inside for  the sewing traveller. Perfect for me on my journeys each week up and down the...

Life, Love & London

I get a lot of time to think when I'm travelling, I mainly think about why I'm doing this and I'm not always entirely sure. My long winded explanation speaks for itself, as it all sounds like more of an excuse than a reason these days. I find myself looking for sympathy and praise for my efforts but also being annoyed at the lack of understanding for it too. I wish I could just say it's because I want to - like Billie Piper said so well in nineteen-ninety-whatnot - but I don't know if I do? If I were...
